Special Events arranged for 2011/12
Thursday November 24th 2011
Special Interest Day at the National Gallery, London
Leonardo da Vinci - Painter at the Court of Milan
Picture from Wikipedia
The opportunity to see an enormous number of Leonardo's works of art at this forthcoming exhibition is surely not something to be missed. The show will concentrate on his drawings (many from the Queen's collection) and seven paintings some of which will be leaving galleries in France and Italy for the first time. It will examines the artist's works while he was court painter to Ludovico Sforza in Milan, and may prove to be one of the most popular exhibitions ever to be mounted in London. As the National Gallery intends to reduce the number of entries at any one time, tickets are going to be limited and in great demand.
We will have coffee on arrival at the National Gallery and then an hour's introductory lecture followed by tickets to the exhibition, with time for lunch in between. If you would like to come on this visit please contact Valerie Collis either on email lallyn@collises or 01223 276171, or at 185 Huntingdon Road, Cambridge CB3 0DL. The ticket price will be £42 and £38 for a limited number of Art Fund members on production of their card.
